The short of it--I am a farm wife. Mama to a rambunctious preemie baby girl. Trying to be honest as I work to find my footing in my faith again and a lover of all things nerdy. :)
We are a farm family in the mountains of Western NC. While I never would have DREAMED ten years ago that this would be my life, I would not trade it for anything! After pursuing my Masters' Degree in Counseling and working for several years, we decided to do what it took for me to stay home with our children. SO...for as long as it is possible, I am a stay-at-home mama who loves to craft, write, garden and cook.

My husband, the Farmer (or "Papabird") as he is referred to on our blog was unsure of this whole "blogging mess" and so our concession to allowing me to put up pictures and stories of our family were to exclude his and Babybird's names.
Our blog was started when our daughter was first in the hospital, being born at 26 weeks. After documenting her story through this, I wanted to revamp our blog. So, be patient with us as we work to find our "niche" and don't be shy if there is something you'd like to see on here. I am a work in progress and this blog is too. Thanks for joining us on this wild and crazy ride!
